Jamie has been drawing and painting since she was a child and it became her passion when she studied Fine Arts at the University of Missouri. Jamie has also been a high school art teacher for the past 10 years. Although she enjoys many types of art including ceramics and jewelry making, her favorite is en plein air watercolor paintings of the beautiful scenery she sees on her hikes and travels. She has always been drawn to the beauty of nature and the world around us. She loves to use maps and up-cycled paper as a surface for her works. You can often find her in the mountains sketching on top of a trail map in front of a beautiful panoramic scene
