Welcome to Ethan’s Gallery & Studio

Located in the heart of Olde Town Arvada, Ethan’s Gallery & Studio is a creative space dedicated to art, community, and joyful expression. What began as a small local gallery has grown into a hub of over 60+ Local Artists and their beautiful custom artwork, workshops, and inspiring community events. From custom oil-painted pet portraits to lively Paint & Sip sessions, everything we do is rooted in connection and creativity.

 

About Ethan

My name is Ethan Hoekstra, and I’ve spent the last several years building a life around art, teaching, and serving the community. My artistic journey began in childhood, but it wasn’t until my early adulthood that I fully embraced painting as both a passion and a profession. Over the years, I’ve explored a wide range of creative styles, eventually becoming best known for my expressive and heartfelt custom pet portraits.

My faith has guided every step of that journey. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe deeply in creating work that uplifts, encourages, and reflects the beauty God places in the world and the people (and pets!) around us. My goal is to bring warmth and joy into homes, families, and communities through art that feels personal, meaningful, and alive.

Custom Oil Pet Portraits

A specialty of the studio, each portrait is hand-painted with care, character, and detail to capture the unique personality of your beloved companion. These pieces make cherished keepsakes and heartfelt gifts.

Paint & Sips at the Gallery or Remote location!

For over 7 years, I have taught Paint & Sip classes designed for all skill levels. These sessions are fun, easygoing, and welcoming, with step-by-step instruction and a focus on relaxation and enjoyment. They’re perfect for:

• Businesses seeking team-building or wellness events

• Retirement homes looking for uplifting social activities

• Private groups celebrating birthdays, holidays, or special occasions

I bring all supplies, handle setup and cleanup, and create a space where everyone feels encouraged, supported, and capable—no matter their experience level.

Whether you’re commissioning a portrait, attending a workshop, or simply stopping by to browse, the gallery exists to bring people together. Creativity should feel accessible, joyful, and shared. That spirit shapes every part of what I do.
