Dunamis
“Dunamis” — derived from the Greek word meaning power — began as one of my original acrylic paintings, created to embody raw strength, resilience, and commanding presence. Featuring a striking side-profile portrait of a lion rendered in a bold black-and-white splatter style, this piece was designed to feel both fierce and refined. I wanted the artwork to capture the untamed energy of power itself while still carrying a sense of elegance and controlled chaos through expressive paint movement and texture.
After completing the original acrylic painting, I digitally re imagined the artwork on my iPad Mini using Adobe Fresco, enhancing the piece with layered watercolor textures, splattered ink-like effects, and fluid tonal transitions that intensified the dramatic atmosphere. This process allowed me to merge traditional acrylic painting with modern digital artistry, creating a unique visual fusion that feels both contemporary and timeless.
