Streams of the Lion
“Streams of the Lion” began as one of my original acrylic paintings, created to capture the quiet power, wisdom, and enduring spirit of the lion through a more abstract and atmospheric style. Featuring the face of a lion softly fading into the canvas through flowing textures and dissolving edges, this piece was designed to feel both powerful and ethereal — as though the lion is emerging from and disappearing into streams of paint, emotion, and movement. I wanted the artwork to symbolize strength that does not need to roar to be felt.
After completing the original acrylic painting, I digitally re imagined the artwork on my iPad Mini using Adobe Fresco, adding layered watercolor textures, flowing tonal washes, and fluid brush effects that enhanced the faded, dreamlike atmosphere of the piece. This process allowed me to blend the rich texture of traditional acrylic painting with the soft elegance of watercolor-inspired digital artistry, creating a unique fusion that feels both expressive and timeless.
