Watchful
“Watchful” began as one of my original acrylic paintings, created to capture the silent awareness, mystery, and untamed energy of the owl through bold color and expressive movement. Featuring a striking green owl in side profile, this piece was designed to feel intense, artistic, and emotionally alive. I wanted the artwork to embody the feeling of quiet observation — a calm yet powerful presence watching from the shadows with wisdom and instinct. The wild, expressive brush strokes were intentionally used to give the piece a raw and energetic atmosphere, balancing control with creative chaos.
After completing the original acrylic painting, I digitally re imagined the artwork on my iPad Mini using Adobe Fresco, enhancing the piece with layered watercolor textures, flowing tonal transitions, and fluid brush movement that amplified the expressive energy of the composition. This process allowed me to merge the textured richness of traditional acrylic painting with the freedom and atmosphere of watercolor-inspired digital artistry, creating a unique visual fusion full of motion and personality.
